Note:- Candidates who will get selected in Online Assessment of TCS NQT will be required to go through a Technical Interview followed by a HR interview.
Most of the colleges will not have PPT round. But, with some colleges TCS has partnerships, they will conduct pre-presentation talk for them. The process of recruitment starts with a PPT where the TCS HR’s will talk about the company, salary offered, career growth and opportunities. After this there will be a Q&A round where the students can clear their doubts about the recruitment process or the company.
Written Test -Recruitment Process
The written test for TCS NQT has 4 sections which are –
- C MCQ’s
There are two types of Questions –
- MCQ Questions – These questions will have 1 marks and 0.33 negative marking. Each question will be followed by 4 options, where only 1 answer is correct
- Box Questions – These are also called as FUB i.e. Fill up the box. These are of 2 marks each and will have no negative marking. Each question will be followed by a box and you have to enter the exact value in the box itself. FUB Questions in Quants, Programming Logic, English and Coding Ability.

Interview in TCS NQT Recruitment Process
There is only one interview round which can be really long and will last anywhere between 25 mins to 40 mins. There will be three panels in the interview
- One will be Technical Expert
- One will be HR
- And the last one is Managerial
Final Offer Intent
Once you are selected , We will get the offer letter in 10 to 15 days via an email. And the joining date will be anywhere between 3 to 6 months.
TCS NQT Salary Information
The Salary of TCS is 3.5 Lakh per annum, which translates into 26,200Rs per month after deducting taxes and PF etc.
TCS earlier had bond period of 2 years, but it now has been reduced to 1.5, you leave before that then you have to pay 50K salary.
TCS calls its training period as ILP which is short for Initial Learning Period. There are 5 training locations which are –
The training is of 90 days. In the first month, you will receive, 26,200Rs as salary and in the 2nd and 3rd month you will receive 14,800Rs as salary as they provide free accommodation for a month and from 2nd and 3rd month they deduct for Food and Accommodation
- You will join as a n Assistant system engineer trainee
- Post training become Assistant system engineer
- And then in 2 years System engineer
- 3 to 4 years IT Analyst

Salary and Growth
TCS has the strongest growth throughout all the mass recruiters. In fact it will soon overtake Accenture as largest Services company by revenue.
TCS has bagged a large number of multi-billion dollar projects and you can expect a salary hike of 18 to 30% based on your performance, the promotion will only happen after 2 years.
