Written Test -
The written round was further divided into Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal English. Each section was allotted with a particular time frame and came with a defined set of questions.
- The time allocated for this online test was 95 mins
- There was no negative marking
- And there was sectional cut off
There were 3 sections in the written test:-
- Logical Reasoning (Some questions from Cryptarithmetic were there)
- English Verbal
Cryptarithmetic questions are very imp questions that I should attempt while giving the Infytq exam. I practiced Cryptarithmetic Questions from PrepInsta.
They have given very good and easy explanations to solve Crypto Questions on their Infosys Cryptarithmetic Page.
The question paper for each section was prepared based on a pre-defined syllabus. The paper of quantitative aptitude had a question from data interpretation, permutation and combination, time and work, profit and loss, and probability.
Similar to this, the other two sections also covered topics such as coding-decoding, number series, arrangements, syllogisms in Logical and Sentence Correction, Para Jumbles, Reading Comprehensions, and Analogy in English.
Before appearing for the written round, I practiced a few Infosys previous years papers that I found on PrepInsta. It proved very helpful for me to clear the round and get a concrete idea about the expected questions.
I bought a PrepInsta Royal Pass during their Diwali sale.
It helped me a lot. I am able to access the study material of any company and also, I can attend Online Class for free under the Royal Pass Access. I have practiced a lot of questions for different companies placement from PrepInsta.
The next day the technical interview was conducted in the morning.
-The interviewer asked me a few basic questions about programming, gave some easy patterns, after 10 mins, he started giving coding questions with deeper and complex concepts.
Questions from Dynamic Programming, BFS, DFS, Graphs, etc, He also asked me questions related to DBMS, Operating System(kernels and few real-life scenario questions), Maths(Geometry basically).
Some questions were:-
- What is a doubly-linked list?
- What is Insertion in the linked list?
- What is BCNF?
- What is RDBMS?
- What are the types of join in DBMS?
- What is Deadlock and how you can prevent deadlock?
- Tell me two differences between array and pointer.
------ My interview lasted for around 45 mins to 1 hour.
I cleared the Technical Interview and later went for the HR Interview.
There were 2 panels in the room when I greeted them.
Well, answering the questions correctly requires basic subject knowledge and good confidence to place on the table. This round went a little more moderate when the interview came up with some fundamental questions for the round.
- Explain your project,
- What are your Strengths and Weaknesses?
- Why should Infosys hire you?
- Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
With all these questions, the interviewer was checking my behavioral and communication skills. I believe I was rated on the rating scale to make the final selection. After taking a deep breath upon interview completion, I was eagerly waiting for the final result announcements.
But, the wait was worth it. I finally got selected for the job on the date of the result declaration which was after seven days from my date of interview.
I want to thank Atulya Sir for clearing my concepts and helping in brushing up my technical knowledge. You teach Coding questions and concepts in online classes very well sir.
I practiced around 30-35 coding questions from these pages for different placement drives:-
