What will happen if I fill my Registration Form Incorrectly

It is very important that you fill the form correctly. As if even if you miss one step, like entering GPA as 9 rather than 9.0. The TCS System can't read it properly. Infact, the same happened last year where 10% of our students didn't get hall tickets as GPA was not correct till 2 decimal points.

What will happen if I fill my Registration Form Incorrectly

It is very important that you fill the form correctly. As if even if you miss one step, like entering GPA as 9 rather than 9.0. The TCS System can't read it properly. Infact, the same happened last year where 10% of our students didn't get hall tickets as GPA was not correct till 2 decimal points.

  1. Select Title
    1. Mr/Mrs
  2. Enter First Name, Last Name, Middle Name
  3. Enter Date of Birth
  4. Select Gender
    1. If, you’re not to select Gender you forgot to choose title

Step 4.2:
Select Category

  1. Enter email ID
    1. Use your personal email ID. Don’t use @college name email ID

Using college email ID, may give problems as your college may deactivate your email ID after completion of your degree, so you may not be able to receive joining details from TCS.

Step 4.3
Initial Form Details

  1. Select College Name
    1. If your college name doesn’t appear check approved AICTE Name here
  2. Choose Qualification
    1. B.Tech choose Bachelor of Engineering
    2. M.Tech choose Master of Engineering
    3. MCA/ BCA choose Master/Bachelor of Computer Application
  3. Year of passingout must be 2020 without fail
  4. Select Test Location
    1. You may or may not be in college/home on 20th. So enter location where you will be. on 20th.
  5. Enter Password as. per TCS Password Policy
  6. Choose Security question and enter Captcha

Step 4.4:
Initial Form details

  1. Click on Submit button
  2. On the next page it will confirm your details, check them again and click on confirm
  3. Once you click on confirm. It will ask you to enter your password
    1. Note – If you enter password wrong 3 times your ID will be locked

  1. Note – Till now you only have just created account on TCS Next Step website. You need to Application From, which is very complicated

Fill the whole form this part is easy and you will surely not face any errors. Just make sure that you do not add 0 or + before your phone number.

Academic and Work

Make sure that you have a green tick over personal details. If you do not have that green tick means you have filled it incorrectly.

Post that click on continue button to start filling Academic and Work Experience Details

Academic and Work

  1. “Marks/CGPA Obtained” denotes Total Marks/CGPA secured by you in ALL* subjects in all semesters in the first attempt.
  2. “Total Marks/CGPA” denotes total of maximum marks in ALL* subjects in all semesters in the first attempt. *ALL implies that all subjects mentioned on the marksheet (including languages, optional subjects etc) should be taken into consideration for calculating the obtained/total marks/CGPA.
  3. Marks/CGPA obtained during the normal duration of the course only will be considered to decide on the eligibility.
  4. Verify your marks after entering, as it is a part of the selection criteria.
  5. Please mention only your XII duration in XII Grade details . Pls do not add the XI duration in the same.
  6. Click on continue

Step 4.10:
Academic and Work

  1. Highest Qualification details already filled, just cross check.
  2. Graduate –
    1. You can enter approx date when your college started no need to be exact but make sure that
    2. The total duration between choosing the whose dates is more than
      1. 4 years for B.Tech
      2. 2 years of M.Tech
      3. BCA/MCA can be 2 or 3 depending on your course
      4. MSc. 2 years
      5. Obvsioulsy end date would be in 2020 not 2019.

Make sure that you choose full time as part time is not allowed in TCS

  • Also make sure that GPA is correct till two decimal points. If its 9 then it should be entered as 9.00. Many people faced this problem last year and hall ticket wasn’t generated

Academic and Work

Class 12th details

  1. In specialization enter Science or commerce
  2. Enter your school
  3. Choose board of schooling
  4. Couse Duration
    1. The course duration should not overlap with starting day of college. For example – If starting day of college is 1 June 2016. End date of 12th should be before 31st May 2016. Else form will give error.
  5. Again GPA should always be correct till two decimal points

Click save, don’t click save and continue. If you’ve filled everything correctly you will not get any error.

Step 4.12:
Academic and Work

  1. Similarly fill the same thing for class 10th which is easy to fill.
  2. Any other qualification you can wish to entry if you have done another course as well.
  3. If you’ve given 
  4. Enter work experience, but note that TCS doesn’t allow you if you’ve more than 1 year of work experience.
  5. Fill the declaration, in pending backlogs make sure that you say No.

Other details

Make sure both personal details and Academic and work experience is showing green tick mark on top.

  1. Choose languages that you know, note that you can only keep one language as mother tongue.
  2. In achievement and scholarship you can enter anything if you have any.
  3. Upload your photo and CV note that they should be less than 500 kb.

Step 4.14:
Preview and Declaration

  • Finally, in declaration say No, that you don’t have criminal cases or no for never caught in malpractice.
  • In if you have attended TCS interview in past 6 months say no.
  • Click on I agree and  Submit application form.
  • Finally click on submit application.

Apply for Drive

Once, you click on subit. Page will refresh and a pop will come saying that you want to apply for the TCS drive or not click on apply for drive.

    • Date
    • City and click on profile interested in
    • Choose Ninja or digital or choose both of them.
  • TCS Ninja is for package 3.5 LPA and digital is for package 7 LPA. You can apply for both of them
