Can the batch 2020 apply for the TCS NQT 2021? this is the most asked question among Freshers. Go through the page in detail to get your answer. There has been a big hype and lots of confusion after TCS changed its pattern for TCS NQT. Everyone was confused about who can apply and will be the job profiles offered to them. This article is to answer all your questions in mind and have all the confusions disappear.

 TCS has changed its hiring pattern for 2021 and this time the examination platform used for TCS NQT is TCS iON. According to the new updated pattern TCS NQT will have 2 rounds.

Can the batch of 2020 apply for TCS NQT

Round 1: Aptitude Test

This round has 3 subsections and a 120-minute test with a total of 80 questions. The sections are:

  • Numerical Ability
  • Verbal Ability
  • Reasoning Ability

Round 2: Programming Test

This round has 2 subsections and is 45 minutes round with a total of 12 questions. The sections are:

  • Programming MCQ
  • Hands-on Coding

 

TCS NQT will be partially adaptive with no negative marking. Partially adaptive means that you will not be able to switch questions or sections. You first need to answer the question on your screen and then you can move forward with your exam.
And the difficulty level of the questions will not change whether you attempt the question right or wrong.

Important Note:

On-screen Calculator and Rough space will be available on your Desktop Screen by TCS. 
And still, if you wish to use any rough sheet, then it should be clearly visible on the camera and the paper you will be using will be checked before you start the exam. 
Even if they have a slight doubt on you, you will be terminated immediately. So, don’t try any false means. 

Eligibility Criteria for TCS NQT 2021:

 
Qualification Full time graduates from B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech
Eligible streams from UG/PG All engineering streams
Percentage Criteria 60% throughout the academics i.e. X, XII & Graduation
Backlog Criteria 1 active backlog at the time of appearing in the exam.
Gap Criteria Overall gap must not exceed 1 year.

Graduates from 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 are eligible to give TCS NQT 2021.

But here is the thing, that only 2021 pass outs will be hired this time and for all other candidates the scores will be given on their performance and they can apply for companies who partner with TCS NQT.

For 2022 pass outs, TCS will provide internships and if they later have any openings for the 2022 batch, these students will be hired directly. And the same goes for 2019 and 2020 pass outs. Either they can apply for other companies or wait for the TCS official announcements.
