QUES: What should i avoid while answering - "If you make a mistake how do you resolve it?"
- At all costs, self-deprecation should be avoided. Everyone makes mistakes at work from time to time. The most important way to respond to this question is to demonstrate that you’ve matured enough to benefit from earlier “learning opportunities” and then proceed with greater wisdom and competence.
- Nobody deserves to be thrown under the bus. While it’s acceptable to put a previous gaffe in the perspective of the group, don’t single out any of your former teammates. Instead, explain how you devised new methods to avoid making the same mistakes again.
- Make no pretenses to being perfect. Never try to derail the conversation by acting as if you don’t make errors. The prospective employer is well informed.
