Student Interview

It was time of placement drive, and this year IBM visited our campus for the recruitment. Information regarding the IBM Aptitude Question Paper was displayed on the notice boardWhen I learned about it, I immediately applied for the IBM GTS Drive and Practiced IBM GTS Aptitude Questions firstly and the started preparing for further rounds.

For preparation I referred to the PrepInsta website and much to my relief I found Updated PrepInsta IBM Syllabus and Aptitude based Questions relevant study material on this website.

IBM Online Test

1. Quantitative Aptitude test
2. Personality Test

Aptitude Test

The Online test for GTS comprised of IBM Aptitude Test . IBM Aptitude Syllabus which had 18 Questions on topics of Profit and Loss, Ratios and Proportions, Percentage, Probability, Speed Time and Distance, Permutation and Combination, and Number System. Each question was to be solved in a time limit of 2 minutes 15 seconds. Also, the portal didn’t have the functionality to preview already attempted questions.

Work Style Personality Test

The IBM Personality Test had no true or false questions. It was psychological test in which we were given certain choices, and the question is based and those choices. We had options to answer the question with options: Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree.

I cleared the online test with ease and I was shortlisted for the interview round.

Technical and HR Round

IBM interview was a Technical cum HR round. There were three interviewers seated in the boardroom and they asked me to take a seat. They gave a thorough reading to my resume. Later, they asked me few questions on

• my family background
• favorite subject
• my major project

After that, they asked me questions from Data Structures and DBMS

• What is Primary Key ?
• Inner Join and Outer Join.
• Write a query to calculate the total salary of employees under CS department.
• write a code for binary sort and merge sort.

It was pretty tough, still I managed to complete both the codes. The interview lasted for 30 minutes.

Interviewers asked me about my team working abilities and tested me with a situation. Further they questioned, as per the provided situation, if I would report the issue or try to solve it by myself.

After the interview got over, I was instructed to wait for the results. After a week, I received an email informing that I was selected for the job. It was a dream come true for me.
