How long will you work for us if hired ?
Let's first understand why the HR Interviewer ask this question ?
- Generally the Interviewer ask how long will you work for us if hired to know whether the candidate he will be hiring is going to be good investment for the company or not.
- To know whether the candidate he is hiring can be put into some long-term projects or not .
- The Interviewer also try to know whether the candidate will give his best for the company because if he try to switch early he will not be so much focussed on the current work.
So, let’s try to see what points we need to keep in mind while answering these questions to the interviewer and satisfy the interviewer with your answer:

POINTS TO BE REMEMBERED :
- Talk about how your past work experiences have prepared you for a long- or short-term position.
- If you might move because of a military spouse or other reason, be honest in your response.
- Emphasize any skills that will help you be effective during your time with the company.
- If you can, say how your timeline makes you a good candidate for the job.
Honesty is always desirable in an employee, so do not answer the question evasively.

Possible Answer 1: (For Freshers)
I’m excited about the research and innovations your company has delivered in the past few years. I’ve been looking for a position with a dynamic company engaged in the community and your organization certainly fits that description. I think this role is a great match for my skills and experience and that it would offer me a chance to grow professionally. I expect to be here for as long as I can make contributions.
Possible Answer 2: (For Experienced)
I would prefer to stay long-term, if possible. I like the flexible work hours your Company offers, which would work well with my other commitments, such as my studies (or children, family, etc.)
Possible Answer 3: (For Freshers)
“As long as I am having a positive impact, I would love to work for the company over the long term — it has the capacity to offer me a rich and fulfilling career.” as a fresher i would be very much obliged to work for the company for a long time.
Possible Answers 4:(For Experienced)
” I had been associated with an organisation in the past for last three years as XYZ and continued there since our goals were same. In this job as well, as long as i get to learn new skills and add value in the organisation, I would like to continue”.

As a young graduate it has been always my dream to be a part of your company. So if I am selected, it will be my pleasure and I assure that I can give you my best. And if you recognize my work and potential, I will be there with you always as long as you want me to stay in this company.
Possible Answer 6: (For Freshers)
I would like to work here till my talents are best utilized for the companies growth, if the company still needs me then there’s no way of quitting it, but I’m not thinking of how long to work here since this would be my first company to work for I need to give my best performance on my work so that under any circumstances the company must not lose me.
