Answer-3:

From my past experience, I sought advice from friends who had already been promoted to the position I wanted. I sat with them and watched how they handled their duties. and I explore and apply it to my approaches as a result. Some of their methods worked for me, while some did not, but that’s good since I’m learning from my own mistakes.

FAQs on What did you do in the past year to improve your knowledge/skillsets

Question:  What did you learn in the past years to improve your knowledge/skillsets as a                                 professional?

Answer-

I’ve asked an experienced industry expert that I’ve known for years through my network to be my mentor so that I may continue to grow as a professional. Last year, I reached out to him and explained where I was in my job and what I needed. I persuaded him of my desire to put in the effort and follow through.

This mentor/mentee relationship has already shown to be really useful to me. Every other week, we meet, and he provides me specific advice on how to improve as a professional in my area. He also gives me with challenges that allow me to grow professionally and personally.
