I once had a conflict with one of my instructors during my fourth semester of college. We were required to produce a project report that was worth ten marks, and we had to do so by a specific date. I turned in the report on time, but the professor put my name on the list of late turn-ins, taking 4 points off and giving my project only 6 points. My GPA for that semester would have suffered greatly as a result. I ultimately visited the professor. But he was unwilling to listen and insisted that I had turned in my proposal too late. In the end, I spoke with a few other students who had the same difficulty with the lecturer. We visited the professor once again as a group, but the outcome was the same. We thus brought the issue up with the HoD, who got involved and spoke with the professor. The professor then took into account our circumstances and took our names from the list of late submissions.
