How I handle my job defines the difference between hard work and smart work. Hard professions involves working long hours without finding any shortcuts to complete my assignments but though it promises results, the process is lengthy and exhausting. Smart work will look for the same outcomes, but with mission coordination and prioritization. During my first semester I learned that all the previous year questions are revisited simultaneously and since then, I’ve just learned the questions from the previous five years for tests. I’d dedicate the remainder of the year to learning everything else. As a result, learning the entire syllabus for my own knowledge and working hard to obtain successful grades in my tests became helpful. I’ve always had the best performance from a mixture of the two!
To answer this question, I feel it is important to redefine the words “smart work” and “hard work” in today’s world. Many of us perceive hard work to be a type of ‘physical action,’ but smart work is viewed as a form of ‘mental capacity.’ This was valid before the Internet age, but that is no longer the case.
