Written Test

In the written round, there were five sections, Verbal, Quantitative Analysis, Logical Reasoning, MCQ Coding questions and Coding Questions. Deloitte National Level Assessment(NLA) had a unique marking system for the written paper that is if the question is submitted in less than 30 seconds then bonus points are given to the candidate.

• Quantitative Section- There were 10 questions on topics of HCF and LCM, divisibility, probability, profit and loss, permutation and combination, etc. The timeline for the test was 90 mins(Overall).
• Logical Reasoning- There were 12 questions in this section based on coding-decoding, data sufficiency, blood relation, and direction sense. The time allotted for this section was also 90 mins(Overall).
• Verbal Ability- This is the most important section out of all three, as Deloitte focusses and gives preference to English more than any other section. This section had 13 questions that were to be completed in 90 mins(Overall). The sectional cut off was 8.
• MCQ Coding Section- This section consisted of 30 MCQ questions that tested candidates understanding of programming concepts, algorithms, and problem-solving abilities. Topics included basics of programming, OOPs concepts, and error finding in codes. The total time for this section was also included in the overall 90 minutes duration.
• Coding Questions Section- In this section, there were 2 coding problems that required candidates to write and execute code. The problems were focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), such as arrays, linked lists, trees, and dynamic programming. This section assessed the candidate's ability to design efficient solutions and write error-free code within the time limit.

Based on my written test score I was shortlisted for the Deloitte NLA Interview round.

My interview was scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Before the interview, I was very nervous. But the interviewer seemed quite nice. He asked me to relax and offered to drink water. He had a glance at my resume and started asking questions.

• Do you have any plans for an MBA or MTech?
• Why do you want to join Delloite as a Trainee?
• Your resume says you like playing, so who is your favorite player?
• Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 by your communication skills?
• Why should we choose you?
• Are you fine with relocation?

The interviewer was very generous. He asked me if I had any questions. So, I asked some questions. Then he asked me to submit my documents.

11 days later, I received an email declaring that I have been selected and have to join as soon as possible. I was selected as a Analyst Trainee at Deloitte.
