Tech Mahindra Interview Experience On-Campus

I am glad to share my Tech Mahindra Interview experience with you all. My mentor at PrepInsta had initially informed me about Tech Mahindra On Campus hirings, so I started preparing from then only. A few weeks later, our college announced that Tech Mahindra will come for placements.

There were four rounds:-

  1. Online Test
  2. Technical Test
  3. Conversational Test
  4. Interview (Technical + HR)

Tech Mahindra Written Test

This was a written test where there were quants, logical, verbal and essay questions.

The overall round was easy. I had prepared from PrepInsta and was able to crack the questions easily. A few days later I got the second round mail.

Tech Mahindra Technical + Psychometric Test

This was the second round. There were programming MCQs and computer science MCQs. Additionally there was automata fix questions. I struggled a bit in automata but was able to clear the round.

There was also a psychometric test section in this round. This was basic personality checking test, where they were giving situational questions and whether we agree or disagree on it.

Tech Mahindra Technical Interview

There were two interviews, one technical and one HR. In the Technical Interview, I was asked the following questions.

Question 1:- Tell me about yourself.

I gave a brief introduction about myself, including my academic background and technical skills.

Question 2:- What is your favorite programming language?

I answered JAVA.

Question 3:- What is multithreading in Java?

Question 4:- What are public and private access specifiers?

Public members are visible in both the same package and the outer package for other packages.
Private members are only viewable in the same class and are not visible in other classes in the same package or classes in other packages.

Question 5:- Name the JAVA IDEs.

Some IDEs of JAVA are Eclipse and NetBeans.

Question 6:- Write a Program to find the GCD or HCF of two numbers.

Question 7:- Explain your final year project.

Question 8:- Differentiate between Array and Array list.

Question 9:- What are the 4 basic pillars of OOPS?

The 4 basic pillars are:

  • Inheritance
  • Encapsulation
  • Polymorphism
  • Abstraction

I answered all the questions clearly and was shortlisted for the HR round.

Tech Mahindra HR Interview Questions

In the HR interview, I was asked personality-based questions, and the interviewer asked me about my technical interview. I shared with the interviewer and other questions were:

Question 1:- Tell me about yourself.
Question 2:- Are you ready to relocate?
Question 3:- What do you know about Tech Mahindra?
Question 4:- Who is the current CEO of Tech Mahindra?
Question 5:- Why do you want to join Tech Mahindra?
Question 6:-Do you have any questions for us?

This was all for my interview. I got my selection mail few days later.

Tech Mahindra Interview Experience Off-Campus

I appeared for the Tech Mahindra Interview recently. I got to know about this hiring through PrepInsta. I was connected on their social media platforms and got to know about this drive. I registered with the given link and got the shortlisted mail for assessment.

There were totally three rounds of assessment and two interviews conducted.

Online Test:-

This was the first round. It was a written test and had 37 questions to be answered in one hour.
This included:-

  • Quantitative aptitude questions:- 12 questions were asked on this and we had to solve in 15 minutes.
  • Logical Reasoning questions:- 12 questions were asked on this and they gave 15 minutes as well. Personally I found this one a little difficult, because I am not very comfortable with reasoning. I had practiced with the logical reasoning course on Prime, so I was able to solve.
  • Verbal:- 12 questions and 15 minutes as well. This was easy
  • Essay:- 1 essay in 15 minutes. My topic was “Impact of social media on the youth” and I had to write 200 words essay.

Technical + Psychometric Test:-

On clearing the first test I got mail for this round. This was 90 minutes round, with both test combined.

  • Programming MCQs:- There was 12 MCQs on programming and they gave 15 minutes to solve it.
  • Computer Science MCQs:- There was also 12 MCQs on computer fundamentals and 15 minutes time to solve.
  • Automata Fix:- There were two questions on automata fix and we had 45 minutes to solve.
  • Personality Test:- After technical round, this round started. There were 72 questions and it was asked for 15 minutes. We had to click on agree/disagree options.

Communication Assessment:-

This was conducted a week later. The round was 20 minutes in duration. The questions were easy but the challenge was to be quick because all questions had a timer. It was completely AI based.

Tech Mahindra Technical Interview Questions

Almost two weeks later I got mail for technical interview. They had scheduled the interview two days later. I referred to PrepInsta’s materials for interview preparation and it helped me a lot.

Question 1:-Tell me about yourself.
Question 2:- Explain your final year project along with your roles and responsibilities.

Question 3:- What are the basic data types supported in the C programming language?

  • Floating-point
  • integer

  • character

Question 4:- Write a code to Find the Greatest of the Two Numbers.

A pointer is a type of variable that holds as its value the memory address of another type of variable.

Tech Mahindra HR Interview Questions

Finally the HR Interview was conducted. It was a brief interview and they only asked few questions.

Question 1:- Tell me something that is not mentioned in the resume.
Question 2:- Are you comfortable to work in a night shift?
Question 3:- Why Tech Mahindra?
Question 4:- Are you an organized person?
Question 5:- What do you know about Tech Mahindra?
Question 6:- Do you have any questions for me?
