Step (i): Let x be the number of boys and y be the number of girls.

Given total number of boys and girls = 100

x+y=100 -------------- (i)

 

Step (ii): A boy gets 3.60kg and a girl gets 2.40kg

The amount of cake given to 100 boys and girls = 312kg

3.60x + 2.40y = 312 -------------- (ii)

 

Step (iii):

Solving (i) and (ii)

3.60x + 3.60y = 360 --------- Multiply (i) by 3.60

3.60x + 2.40y = 312 --------- (ii)

1.20y = 48

y = 48 / 1.20

= 40

Let the quantity of sulphuric acid and baking soda be 4x litres and 3x litres respectively

4x/(3x+5) = 4/5

⇒ 20x = 4(3x+5)

⇒ 8x = 20

⇒ x = 2.5

∴Quantity of sulphuric acid = (4 x 2.5) litres = 10 litres.

3A = 4B = 7C = k,Then A = k/3, B = k/4 and C= k/7.

A : B : C = k/3 : k/4 : k/7 = 28:21 :12.

Originally, let the number of amounts for oil M, P and B be 5x, 7x and 8x respectively.

Number of increased amounts are (140% of 5x), (150% of 7x) and (175% of 8x).

⇒ [(140/100) × 5x], [(150/100) × 7x] and [(175/100) × 8x]

⇒ 7x, 21x/2 and 14x.

∴ The required ratio =7x : 21x/2 : 14x

⇒ 14x : 21x : 28x ⇒ 2 : 3 : 4

Suppose there are all the pigeons then total no of heads are 340 and total no of legs are 680.

 

Now, since 380 (1060-680) legs are extra, it means there will be 190 (380/2) rabbits.As we know a rabbit has two extra legs than that of a pigeon.

Therefore,  number of rabbits =190

and number of pigeons = 340- 190 = 150

The ratio of the takes of shahrukh and salman is 3 : 5.

The ratio of the takes of salman and amitabh is 3 : 5.

Salman's takes is the common link to both these ratios.

Therefore, if we make the numerical value of the ratio of Salman's takes in both the ratios same, then we can compare the takes of all 3 in a single ratio.

This can be done by getting the value of Salman's takes in both ratios to be the LCM of 3 and 5 i.e., 15.

The first ratio between Shahrukh and Salman's takes will therefore be 9 : 15 and

The second ratio between Salman and Amitabh’s takes will be 15 : 25.

Now combining the two ratios, we get Shahrukh : Salman : Amitabh = 9 : 15 : 25.

 

Let their takes be 9x, 15x and 25x.

Then, the sum of their takes will be 9x + 15x + 25x = 49x

The question states that the sum of their takes is 147.

i.e., 49x = 147 or x = 3.

 

Therefore, Salman's takes = 15x = 15×3 = 45

Ratio of increase of salary= 22:25

Ratio of decrease of employees = 15:11

Compound ratio of salary of employees 22 × 15 : 25 × 11 = 330:275

For 275 ratio salary = Rs. 5000

Now, remaining money = Rs. 17 lakh

Let number of Rs. 5 lakh bikes = K

Let number of Rs. 2 lakh bikes = L

5K + 2L = 17

K = 3, L = 1 (possible)

L = 6, K = 1 (possible)

=> But given that they are different in number so, K is not equal to 3

1 lakh rupee bikes = 3

2 two lakh bikes = 6

5 lakh rupee bikes = 1

Total number of bikes= 10.
