Number series and Quantitative Ability section consists of 18 questions each. In these sections, each question has a time limit of 2.15 minutes. IBM Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility criteria to attend IBM recruitment process on campus is as below.

1) Above 65% in 10th, 12th and Btech.
2) There should be no backlogs at the time of Interview.

IBM Recruitment Process 

The recruitment process of IBM company consists of three rounds. They are:

  • Written Exam
  • Technical Interview
  • HR Interview

1) Written Exam: Generally this round will be consisting of a total of three sections which are Number Series, Aptitude, and Verbal English may it be Business Communications or Simple Verbal Ability section. The latest Recruitment Pattern is further given below.

2) Technical Interview: The candidates who are able to clear the written round now will have to face the Technical interview First, in this students can expec questions from Data Structures, Software Engineering, DBMS, Operating System, Basic C and C++ or OOPs concept. A very good strong hold of one’s core subject is required for this particular round. You should also study your own branch’s subject you do not belong to CS/IT branch. in the Interview you will also be tested on your Coding skills and can expect some Coding Questions.

In VIT University following were the theory based questions that were asked by the interviewer –

  2. Give one example where you would need inner join and outer join
  3. What is a pointer explain with an example
  4. What are the core difference between C and C++
  5. What are the differences between Java and C++
  6. What are different types of operating systems
  7. Give example of Batch Processing Operating System
  8. What is a singly linked lists and doubly linked list write code for insertion
  9. What is 3NF form and BCNF?
  10. Write a program to insert in a doubly linked list?

3) HR Interview:   Generally for a specific HR round there is no pattern but you should be read to answer some stress based questions

  • Communication Skills are tested
  • Stress based Questions are asked like if you get offer from Google and IBM which will you join.
  • Basic Questions like Tell me about yourself
  • Do you have plans for MBA
  • Are you comfortable with location changes frequently and also working in shifts
  • Tell me about your minor and major projects
  • What if you missed a deadline for a project, what will you do

Document needed for IBM Recruitment Process 

IBM asks students to upload the following documents in their portal before the final round of selection. The documents required for IBM recruitment process are as follows.

1) Resume
2) Government ID Proof with correct Name and Complete Date of Birth i.e., DD/MM/YYYY (as in Aadhar/ PAN Card / Passport / Drivers License / Voters ID)
3) Marksheets

  • 10, 12, Diploma marksheets and certificates
  • UG & PG marksheets & certificates(as applicable) until the semester completed (incase of internet copies of the last semesters – please ensure to get the same attested prior to uploading it on the portal)

4) Work Experience documents if any. The documents to be provided includes Offer letter and Service/Experience letter.
