Student’s Interview Experience
eLitmus Evaluation Pvt. Ltd. had conducted an interview drive before the mid-semester of our final year. eLitmus is an organization that hires potential individuals for various companies. The interview process is, however, a tough one to crack. Before the interview process began, all the final year students were asked to assemble in the auditorium, and the HR Manager of eLitmus gave us a brief presentation about the company. There weren’t many questions in my head as I already read about eLitmus on PrepInsta.
Written Round – pH Test
The elitmus pH test is a type of aptitude test where I was supposed to use pen and paper and could no longer use online platforms. The test was needed to be finished in 2 hours, that is 120 minutes covering three sections which need to be done in the given time frame. Quantitative, Verbal English, and Logical Reasoning or Analytical werethe three sections I had to complete. The crypto arithmetic section was however the hardest to do, and it was important to complete as it had a great weightage.
The precise or detailed information about the test, its sections, marks required, and the percentile required to clear the section are mentioned in the below table.
||NUMBER OF QUESTIONS
|Problem Solving and Logical Reasoning
||35 – 90
||50 – 80
||95 – 160
||80 – 90
After some weeks, maybe 2, I received a letter after a month from elitmus saying that I have been selected for the face-to-face interview round. I had to reach at the Bangalore center of elitmus for the interview along with some personal or legal documents like a copy of 10th mark sheet, passport size photographs, a printout of the elitmus pH test scorecard, etc.
Face-to-face Interview Round
When I reached, I saw there more than 20 candidates who might have also applied for the same and are here for an interview. After 2-3 hours, I was called inside for the interview. A panel consisting of five members were seated. I was asked a number of questions, and then they checked my score of the test. Some of the questions were:
Is this your first interview?
Why should we hire you?
Are you comfortable to move to another state or city?
What are your salary expectations?
On the basis of the same, I was asked some general questions about my field, such as my knowledge about C and C++. The interview went well overall.
After 1 month, I got a letter declaring that I am selected for the trainee’s positon at elitmus and the training will start from next month at the Bangalore center.
