Student Interview
A few months ago, eLitmus Evaluation visited our campus for an On-campus recruitment drive. Since I was near to complete my B. tech degree, and I was ready to take up a Job, I registered myself for this interview. We were briefed about the whole process for the interview as there was an eLitmus pH test which we had to clear in order to be eligible for the personal interview round.
As this was my first interview as a fresher, therefore I didn’t want to take any chance. So, I interacted with some of my seniors, to get to know their experience. I tried to get an idea on how and from where shall I prepare for this interview. To this, most of them suggested to go for PrepInsta materials as they are reliable and good for prepping up for the 2 hours lengthy aptitude test.
eLitmus Potential Hiring pH Test
Mainly companies which hire through eLitmus look for candidates from BE/B.Tech, MCA, ME/Mtech or M.Sc (CS/IT/Electronics). On the basis of this eLitmus test, candidates are further selected for the personal interview round. The test is of 120 minutes long duration that consists of 3 sections containing 60 multiple choice questions or 20 MCQ in each section.
The three sections are quantitative, logical reasoning or analytical and verbal English.
SECTIONS | MAX. SCORE (out of 200 each) | NUMBER OF QUESTIONS | PERCENTILE |
Quantitative Aptitude | 50 – 80 marks | 20 | 75 – 95 percentile |
Logical Reasoning | 35 – 90 marks | 20 | 75 – 95 percentile |
Verbal English | 95 – 160 marks | 20 | 65 – 90 percentile |
I received a letter after a month from elitmus saying that I have been selected for the face-to-face interview round as my score of the pH is in the eligible criteria. Moreover, the score is valid for 2 years maximum.
Personal Interview Process
This was the final part of the selection process, meant for those who have managed to pass the above pH test round. There was a team of four members in the panel who took my interview. It was more of a critical round, where the interviewers asked me questions related to my last project and some questions based on my resume, like basic elements of C, C++, and more. Also, they asked me some basic questions related to my career goals.
I received an intimation through call saying that I am selected for the position. I joined as a trainee in the organization.
