What is TCS iON CCQT?

TCS iON CCQT (Common Corporate Qualifier Test) is an exam conducted by TCS iON through which you can apply to over 130+ companies via single exam. It is an exam similar to CoCubes, eLitmus and others.

Rather than applying to offcampus drives of hundreds of companies individually and giving various exams. You give one exam and your scores are sent to many companies.

What is the Exam Pattern?

The Exam is in two different stages –

Stage 1

Stage 1 is essentially the Online Computer Test, there are 3 mandatory section and 3 domain specific optional sections, a student can choose select any of the optional section or can also choose to select none.

To take the stage 1 test, you have to visit one of test centre which will be sent to you via TCS iON. This will be communicated to you via email. You will also get an option to select test center of your choice.

Stage 2

Stage 2 is a video assessment round which is there to test if the candidate has good communication skills.

Students who clear the stage 1 will be eligible for stage 2 assessment. This round can also be given from home as well. You need a desktop or laptop that has video and audio recording capabilities. You have to record your answer in front of the camera for questions displayed on the screen.

Some  websites have mentioned incorrect eligibility criteria. They have mentioned that only 2019, 2020 and 2021 graduates are allowed.

However, there is no such criteria. Students passing out from all years can apply. However, to get jobs we only suggest that students belonging from –

  • 2019 passouts
  • 2020 passouts
  • 2021 passouts

These years are highly likely to get job and effectively get most of out of the TCS iON CCQT Exam.

The test is divided into two stages.

Student has to visit one of the test centres allocated by TCS iON to give Online Written Test i.e. Stage 1 Test. Stage 1 is the written test there will be two components, compulsory section and optional section which have  the following –

Stage 2

Stage two can be given from home, it a video assessment test, which checks your communication skills and your IT readiness. You have to make sure of the following –

  • Your computer(Laptop/Desktop) should have –
    • Working microphone
    • Working Web Cam
    • Disabled Anti-Virus (As software will also record your screen, some browsers based anti-virus disallow screen recording)
    • High Speed Internet, minimum 5 Mbps
    • We Recommend  to Use Chrome or Mozilla

Three questions will appear on the screen and you will have to answer each of them one by one verbally by looking into the web cam. You will be given a time of 5 minutes to answer a question where you can prepare your answer for 3 minutes and record a video of 2 minutes.

There will be a submit button post which the next question will appear.

The time given totally is 15 mins. However, you don’t have to speak for all 15 mins. You will be given 30 seconds to think and we suggest to answer the question in 1 – 2 mins.

What will happen after the payment?

Once you make the final payment on this page (https://prepinsta.com/product/tcs-ion-ccqt/), you will get an email from PrepInsta to fill out registration form and further steps after payment.

What will be the location of the test?

After payment you will get registration link on your email. In the registration link itself you will get an option to choose test center. There are around 650+ test centers in the most cities of India. Check the current test centers here.

What is the date of the exam?

The next one is on 27th September. It will happen 4 times a year generally in March -> June -> October -> Jan.

When will interviews happen?

The interviews will happen in March end and April and for June exam will be in July and August.

What are the salary packages offered by different companies?

There are currently 130 companies on the platform around 200 are more expected to register. Packages depends on the company however and the profile that they are offering PrepInsta can’t confirm the same.

How should I prepare for the test?

I am from mechanical background, do I need to register for coding test also to apply for some IT jobs as well via PrepInsta TCS iON CCQT?

It’s not compulsory. But, we suggest that you should appear as some IT companies will want to see your coding score as well. Also if you appear for coding you will forcibly will have to appear for Programming Concepts test. As in optional section Coding + Programming Concept come together.

I have 2 arrears. Am I eligible to write this test (TCS ion (ccqt))?

Yes, you’re eligible. But, you need to clear those exam before the joining date of the company. We suggest that for getting job try to be in the top 25%ile. This will increase your chances to get job really high. Along with the same we suggest you to prepare PrepInsta.

      There is no sectional cut-off in TCS iON CCQT although there is overall percentile cut-off i.e. you will get placement calls once you score more that 80 percentile. So, I will suggest you not to leave the coding section as it can increase your percentile with huge difference.     case1 : tcs conducted a internship drive in my campus. i prepared from free materials of prepinsta, and to my amaze, 45+% are repeated.
    idont know about the rest coz, i studied less and prepared also from the free materials only(ninja material)

    Case 2: date : 30.6.19 : tcs ion ccqt ::
    this time i took paid materials of ccqt of english+reasoning.
    And to my amaze almost 0% came directly from what i studied.
    Abled to attempt like 5/30 in quant, 18-20/30 in english , 13-14/30 in reasoning.

    now next i have ninja and digital exam.
    lets see what happens.
