Student Interview

 In January 2017 ZS visited our campus for the recruitment drive for the posts of Technology Analyst (TA), Business Operation Associate (BOA), and Decision Analytics Associate (DAA). Only students with a score of 7+ GPA were eligible for the drive. The previous year papers available on the PrepInsta Dashboard were of great help while preparing for the drive. In all 315 students had applied for these three posts. It was a 3- day interview process in which only one round was held each day.

Online Written Test

More than 250 students applied for the online paper. There were four sections in the test; Quantitative Analysis, Logical and Attention to Detail, English, and Data Interpretation. There was no individual time frame for every section, but there was a particular sectional cut-off for every section. There were 15 questions in every section and total time limit was 75 minutes. The English and the Quants were of medium difficulty level, but the Logical and the DI section was of higher difficulty level. As ZS is a data analyst company, so significant emphasis is given on these topics.

Face to Face Interview

This round was divided into three subdivisions. Out of three, two sections were held on the second day, and the last HR Round was held on the 3rd day.

Interview Round 1

All the students were given different case study booklets. We had to read and answer all the questions within 20 minutes. After this, each one of us were called for the personal interview round. When my turn came, the 1st question the interviewer asked me was to explain the approach that I followed for answering the questions and explain the case study. After that, the interviewer asked me what I know about the company. Then he gave me some aptitude puzzles to solve to check my logical ability. At last, he asked me some questions on probability and data sufficiency.

Interview Round 2

In this round, the interviewer asked me some more questions related to the case study from the 1st round. Then he asked me about my final year project, my career goals, and the other companies I have applied for the interview. Later, he asked me some questions related to team management and teamwork. He asked me to give examples from real life where I have applied these skills. He asked about my contribution in my final year project. At last, he asked me about my family background.

The results were announced at 6 in the evening. Unfortunately, I could not make it in the next round and, was eliminated after the technical interview rounds.
