Amazon Placement Papers for Freshers

Amazon only selects from a few of the reputed colleges and the placement process is very tough, the first round is to segregate about 80% of the students, and only top 20% are selected for Interview Round, on this page Amazon previous papers and amazon questions can be found, they change the question bank every year. But, the questions in the exam will be very similar to what are below questions which were asked previously in the exam.

Basic Pattern

Note 1 – If Amazon is recruiting for AWS(on Campus/ off Campus/ Experienced) then rather than studying from here study from our Amazon Mettl Dashboard.

There are two sections hosted on HackerEarth, for these HackerEarth doesn’t provide questions of the test, they just host the tests, Questions in the test for both MCQ’s and Coding round are given by AMAZON to HackerEarth, HackerEarth just evaluates them and provides the platform (Read Note 2 for more Info) –

  1. Technical MCQ’s – 20 Questions
    1. 15 – Technical
    2. 5 Quants and Logical
  2. Coding Questions – 2 Questions

Detailed Pattern

There are two rounds in Amazon Placement Drive for On Campus Selection –

Round 1 

It is divided into two sections – 

  • Technical MCQ’s
    • Total Number of Questions – 20 Questions
      • 15 Technical Questions
      • 5 Aptitude Questions
    • Total Time – 30 mins
    • Marks – 20 Marks
  • Coding Section
    • Total Number of Questions – 2 Questions 
    • Total Time – 60 mins or 1 hour 30 mins(if Questions are difficult, Generally for Grade A colleges)
    • Marks – 10×2 = 20 Marks

Round 2 

  • Technical Interview 1(Medium Difficulty)
  • Technical Interview 2(Hard)
  • HR Interview 1(Easy)

Negative Marking

  1. There is no Negative Marking in the Coding Round.
    1. Each Question Carries 100 marks for complete output
    2. 40 marks for partial output
  2. There is negative marking for the MCQ test and is usually used as tie breaker
    1. 1 marks for every correct answer.
    2. Negative .25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Note 2 –Amazon uses HackerEarth Platform to conduct this round.

  • HackerEarth is a platform that allows companies to enter their own MCQ and Coding questions in the backend and they evaluate the output in their software environment and share score with Amazon after the test.
  • Thus, HackerEarth doesn’t choose questions for Amazon Test, Amazon itself provides HackerEarth with questions that they want in the test. These questions are repeated in the exam again and again and are available on our Amazon Dashboard below.

Ques. What is the level of difficulty for the test?

Ans. The overall level of difficulty is very high, they are only looking to recruit the best of the best. So you have to perform very highly to clear this round.
