Student Interview
CGI or Canadian Global Information Technology Consulting is a global IT Service and consultation organization. The company organized an interview drive within our campus before a year. This was my first interview, and I was quite intimidated for the interview process. Being a fresher, I had no idea about how to prepare myself for this interview. However, my seniors recommended me the PrepInsta Practice Sample Papers so that I can give my best for the same.

  • Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for the interview was:
Students/candidates from the field of BE/B.Tech (All Streams)
    MCA/MSc in Comp Sc.
    65% in BE/B.Tech
    Min 60% in 10th and 12th
  • Number of Rounds
There were three rounds in the entire process which are mentioned below:
    1. Written test
    2.) Group Discussion
3.) Technical and HR interview round
The AMCAT written test included quants, logical reasoning, coding, computer programming, and verbal ability. Being a big firm, the interview rounds were difficult, but thanks to the PrepInsta Sample Papers, as several questions were from the same. A specific criterion for the written test is in the following table:

[table id=819 /]

For this round, I was expected to give reliable and significant opinions about the topic of discussion. The interviewer was us on our confidence, extemporized knowledge, and convincing ability. The Interviewer also checked our communication skills. I participated in all the activities and discussions, and the interviewer seemed pretty satisfied with my performance. The result was out within a couple of hours and fortunately I got selectected in this round as well.

Group Discussion Round
This round was eligible for those students who manage to pass the online written test.In this round, all the participants were divided into groups, and each group was given a topic. The topics were mostly related to everyday activities and events prevalent around society.

Face to Face Interview Round with the HR
I found this round exciting and interactive at the same time. At first, I was asked about my skills and interest domains. The questions were based on team working and communication skills. Along with that, I was asked about the knowledge I have in terms of CGI and the background of the firm. Logical questions were then asked, including knowledge about C, C++, and Linux.

After selection, the offer letter was handed over for one-month training in a week and joining letter was given after a month, after reviewing my performance in the company.
