Name: Siddharth Verma
College: MNIT, Jaipur
Branch: Computer Science
Type of interview: On-Campus Interview
I am currently working for Zoho Corporation, Hyderabad, Telangana as a Software developer. Last year in March Zoho conducted on-campus drive in our college. The drive was for 2 days. On the first day written, programming and advanced programming round was conducted and on the second day technical interview and general HR round was conducted. I and my friends went to our seniors for some preparation tips. They suggested us to prepare from the PrepInsta material as it will clear all our doubts.
There was a set eligibility criteria for the interview B.tech/B.E. students and percentage criterion Up to 1-year gap and backlogs are permissible
The interview included 4 rounds:
Round 1- Written Test (Aptitude + Programming round)
We were allotted 90 minutes to complete the 25 questions of quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning test. The Quantitative aptitude test includes the questions such as basic quants, applied quants, and engineering quants. The logical reasoning questions includes Data interpretation, coding and decoding, non-verbal reasoning, seating arrangement, blood relation, etc.
All the questions were easy to solve and I easily cleared the first round.
In the programming round we were given 10 questions and 1 hour to complete it. The questions were generally related to C++. Some of the questions were complex it includes nested loops, control flows, and dynamic memory allocation, etc. The questions were not simple as the quants and logical section but were not very difficult also. Still I was selected for the next round.
Round 2- Advanced Programming Round
The advanced programming round was quite difficult as the standard of the questions were raised. We were given 5 coding questions and 75 minutes to complete it. We were given a text and a wild card pattern and we were asked to implement the wildcard pattern matching the algorithm. They were checking how neatly we write the code and how easily we fix the bug. I got 80 percentile and was promoted to the next round.
Round 3 – Technical Interview Round
The questions asked to me in the technical round were based on JAVA and basics of DBMS. Then they gave me a data structured problem and I have to define the logic to solve it and at last he asked me the map-reduced concepts and page replacement algorithms.
I confidently answered to them as I knew all the answers. I got selected for the final HR round.
Round 4 – HR Interview
The HR asked me some questions about my family while he was going through my resume. He asked me about the company and my expectations. He also asked me whether I was comfortable in shifting to different state to which I said yes. He was checking my communication skills and my confidence level. I quite impressed him by my conversation skills.
I was very happy at the end of the interview as I got selected as a software developer for Zoho.
