Student Interview
The year 2018 had been a fantastic year of my life as I successfully cleared my first on-campus interview and was selected in one of the most reputed companies, the Reliance Jio as the Junior System Engineer. While preparing, I went through the tips and tricks taught to us in the training classes, and previous year papers available on PrepInsta. Around 350 students sat for the interview, and only 15 students were shortlisted for the training program.

Group Discussion
There were two group discussion rounds. The first round was easier than the second. Most of the students got eliminated in the Group Discussion rounds.
Group Discussion 1
We were divided into a group of 15 where each group had one interviewer. The topic allotted to us in the first round was,’ The Indian Judiciary System.’ The round went for 15-20 minutes. In this round, the interviewers were judging us on our confidence and our views regarding the topic.
Group Discussion 2
Only 52 students qualified for round 2. In this round, our topic was Child Rapes. The criteria were the same for the second round as well. And I cleared this round as well with flying colors.
Face to Face Interview Round
Technical Round
In this round, the interviewers in the panel asked questions entirely related to Networking, in which I was pretty good at. I answered all the questions with confidence. Some of the questions asked to me were,
- Draw the OSI reference model
- Differentiate between Hub, Router, and Switch.
- Explain the TCP/IP Model.
- Explain your final year project.
- Why did you choose this topic?
- What was my contribution to it?
HR Round
The HR asked straightforward questions, such as
- Tell me about yourself.
- How will you be an asset to us?
- Why should we hire you?
- State your strengths and weakness.
The HR handed me the offer letter then and there. That was the best day of my life.
