Student Interview
After finishing my B.Tech. Course, I applied for an on-campus interview for DXC Technologies. After registering myself, I received an admit card and the test details. The paper was scheduled for April 7, 2019.
So I started my preparations and, cleared up all my fundamentals. For that, I referred to some of the previous year papers available on Prepinsta. These papers gave me a brief idea about the type of questions that were being asked in the exam.
Since my Flatmate was already working for DXC Technologies, so he also helped me with the preparations. The overall Placement process had four rounds:
- Written test.

- Technical Interview.
- HR interview.

This round went well. I was satisfied with my performance. The result was declared the very next day, and all my hard work paid off well, and I was chosen for the group discussion round the following day.
Round 2:
The Group discussion:
Since I cleared the written test successfully, hence I got qualified for the Group discussion round. In this round, we were divided into different groups with ten candidates each and were given a topic of debate. Mostly the topics were related to the everyday happenings around us. My group got the topic “ The Influence of social media on our society as a whole.”
In this round, we were being judged for our confidence, general knowledge, and convincing ability. We were also checked for our communication skills. I got selected in this round as well.
Round 3:
Technical round:
For this round, the interviewer asked me some technical questions about all the projects I did during my education tenure, and other questions related to the basic concepts of CS-IT domain, and some general questions on the fundamental of C, C++, .net, Java, Python Data Structure, computer networking.
This round also went pretty well. Eventually, I got the result that very moment, and I passed this round. The Interviewer then asked me to come for a personal interview with the HR team on a set date.
Round 4:
HR interview Round
It was the last round of the interview process. I entered the cabin; the interviewer asked me to have a seat in a very polite way. Then he took a glance at my entire resume. He then started asking me questions related to my personal life like:
- Tell me something about yourself apart from what is present on the resume.
- What was your final year project about? Give a brief idea about it?
- What are your future career plans?
- Where are you planning to settle down?
- What are your salary expectations?
I answered all the questions politely and with full honesty. The interviewer seemed pretty satisfied with my answers, and humbly asked me if I liked to have anything like Tea/Coffee, and I politely replied with a No. We came through to interview session which lasted for about half an hour
After the interview, I was informed that the results would be emailed to me within a week. After a week, I received a happy email from the company with the offer letter, and I was selected for the job.
