Student Interview

I applied for Accenture through a referral drive. Accenture visited my campus but because of my backlog then, I was not able to attend the On-Campus drive. I had 60% throughout my academic career, and cleared all the backlogs before applying for Accenture. A senior of mine was working in Accenture Kolkata, he suggested me to apply in Accenture. I shared my documents with him, and he sent me a referral code through which I got my admit card for the paper. I started solving the previous year papers for Accenture available on PrepInsta. They were a great help. Maximum questions were of the same pattern as that were on PrepInsta.

Written Paper

The paper was of 95 minutes and had 75 questions. It had three major sections, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Analysis. Every section had its cut-off. To clear the paper, I had to clear all the sections separately in the given time-limit.

  1. The Quants section was very tough. There were 25 questions and a time limit of 35 minutes. This section had questions related to Time and Work, Percentage, Ratio proportion.

  2. The Logical Reasoning section was of a moderate difficulty level, but the concepts must be clear to solve this section. There were questions related to Data Sufficiency, Bar graphs, and pie charts.

  3. The Verbal Ability section was of 25 minutes and had 25 questions. Though the section was not difficult, still the passages were very lengthy. There were questions related to reading comprehensions, fill in the blanks, antonyms & synonyms and jumbled sentences. The passages were the most time-consuming.

The results were declared in 10 days. The scores were sent to my registered email id. I received the mail that I successfully cleared all the sections.

After a week I received an enail from Accenture that I have been shortlisted for the interview rounds.

The mail comprised of the Hall Ticket for the next round along with the list of documents that I need to carry for the selection process

  1. All the Original and Xerox mark sheets from class 10t and 12th.

  2. Four passport size photos.

  3. Xerox of scorecard

  4. One copy of the updated resume.

  5. Printout of the Hall Ticket

HR Round

I had to report for my interview at the Accenture campus Gurugram. I was very nervous for the HR round as the selection completely depended on this face to face round. As my turn came, I went into the HR cabin. The interviewer asked for my resume. He just gave a glimpse and asked me to introduce myself. After that, he again went through the resume and started to ask me some questions related to my domain, such as

  • What was your final year project about and what was your role in it?

  • In what platforms have you worked before?

  • Do you know any other language other than JAVA and C++

  • Are you comfortable working in group projects?

  • Why did you choose Accenture?

  • You have dropper? Do you think there are any chances of your selection

  • Are you okay with relocation?

  • I hope you are not planning to settle down any soon?

I was asked to submit the documents for the further verification process. I received a confirmation mail which I have been selected after 10 days. I received the joining letter after 2.5 months with the designation of the Junior Operation Engineer Trainee at Accenture Bengaluru.
